Valentines fun

So last weekend, my boyfriend came to visit me for the valentines period. It was such a cute and romantic weekend and was so lovely to spend some time together as we won't be seeing each other for about 5 weeks until I am back for Easter break in March. He travelled up on the Friday morning, and we spend the first day going around Brighton city centre running some errands and stopped off for some lunch down North Laine. It was at this cute little hidden gem we have been too a few times (but I can't remember the name of it?!) I had a humous and roasted veg ciabatta and Dan had a chicken and bacon ciabatta with curly fries.

We also wandered along the seafront and the pier, which always brightens up my day, with the sea breeze blowing away any cobwebs, and went out for a few drinks with some friends in the evening.

On the Saturday, we had a bit of a lay-in, once we were up and ready we went for a walk and wander around Shoreham-by-the-sea which is a cute little seaside town about 12 miles from mine. As you may know if you live in England, it is still incredibly cold here so we had a very chilly walk along the sea and went into a few shops along the way.

On the way back home, we stopped off at Hove which is full of incredible buildings, and I am definitely going to do a shoot down there soon as it is so beautiful with grand, old buildings.
We also went to devils dyke quickly to attempt another walk, but it was so breezy and muddy (I definitely need to invest in some wellies!) we just had a mini walk and sat for a little in the pub right next to it.

The view never gets old from up there, breathtaking every time.
For valentines day, we woke up and cooked an amazing breakfast and considering I won't usually eat cooked breakfasts it was so delish! We had scrambled eggs, beans, chopped onions, peppers and mushrooms and a roll. I had veggie sausages as I'm a veggie and Dan had some bacon. It was devine!
Dan's is the one at the front if you couldn't guess, haha.
We were going to go to Ditchling Beacon for another wander along the countryside but the parking was so busy and full, we kept driving until we got to Ditchling Common instead and had a little wander around there, which was also incredibly muddy so we ruined our shoes but it was still a nice little walk. Afterwards, we headed back to mine to get ready to go into town for the afternoon/evening.

For dinner, we went to an amazing Thai restaurant down a little side street near the seafront called Sukhothai Palace. We shared a starter which was a mixer vegetarian platter filled with loads of tempura veg, 2 mushrooms on skewers,  2 sweetcorn fritters, 2 mini veg spring rolls, 2 thai samosa things (can't remember the name but they were delicious) and two little sauces, one satay and one sweet chilli. Then for main I had tofu jungle curry and tofu pad thai, and Dan had some sort of Duck curry and Beef in some kind of sauce with egg fried rice. It was all amazing but the lighting was really dark so couldn't get any photos. ): We were so uncomfortably full afterwards we headed back to mine and literally fell straight asleep when we got back. How romantic! Lol.

On the Monday, I had a lot of uni work to catch up on so spent the day doing that while Dan sorted a few things out with his car. After my afternoon lecture, Dan picked me up and we went to the Marina to watch the sunset and it was so beautiful the photos do not do it any justice.

It was such a lovely weekend to celebrate our first valentines together and a perfect way to end the weekend together.

Long distance relationships can be so hard and tiring when you are apart but it always seems so worth it once you are together again.

Hope you guys are having a fab Friday. I have just got back from a spin class so my legs feel like jelly so am about to have a long bath to soothe them!

Have a great weekend guys,
Lotts. xoxo
